What may be a small fort is overlain by an oval dun on the summit of this narrow ridge. While the dun measures about 24.5m from NW to SE by 18.5m transversely within its ruined wall, the defences of the fort have been reduced to a scarp along the SW flank of the ridge some 4.5m below its summit, possibly originally enclosing an area measuring 70m from NW to SE by 28m transversely (0.15ha). The course of the circuit on the NW is unclear, partly because of two series of quarries that have been cut across the spine of the ridge, the inner of which appears to have been designed as an outwork to the dun, with a causeway opposite its entrance on the NW.
