Situated on a small promontory formed where a stream gully cuts through the coastal cliffs to the NE of the Rigg viewpoint, this small fortification comprises a single wall about 2m in thickness by 0.8m in height, which blocks access to the promontory from the only line of approach along the cliffs from the N. The featureless interior measures about 24m from N to S by a maximum of 13m transversely (0.02ha).
