Traditionally the site of a castle, cropmarks have revealed on the NE a possible ditch in a broad gully cutting across the neck of this narrow steep-sided promontory formed between two burn gullies. The ditch is up to 10m in breadth and the interior measures some 45m from NE to SW by 25m transversely (0.09ha). The interior is featureless and the position of the entrance is unknown.
