near the town of Omeath, an oval inland promontory fort with a total site footprint of approximately 0.1ha is positioned at N foothills of Carlingford mountain and is defined by a bend in a river on the E and SE and a arcing earth and stone bank and ditch on the W and N. Excellent views of Carlingford Lough to E. No obvious entrance features recorded and no evidence for any internal features on the surface. The interior is overgrown and has light tree cover. First depicted in second edition Ordnance Survey mapping. Site survey by Buckley and Sweetman (1991).
