Summary

Situated on a low rounded hill, this hilltop enclosure was first noted as a cropmark on aerial photographs. Oval on plan, its defences comprise a single relatively narrow ditch enclosing an area measuring at least 120m from N to S by 100m transversely (0.94ha). No entrances are visible. Within the interior, set some 20m within the line of the perimeter on the SE and lying eccentrically to it, the cropmarks also reveal another arc of ditch; some 6m broad, its projected arc lies on a circle about 60m in diameter, but there is no evidence of it continuing around the rest of this circuit.
