This small fortification crowns the southern of two rounded summits on a ridge of higher ground. Oval on plan, its southern end has been completely levelled by cultivation, but the interior may have measured as much as 80m from N to S by 50m transversely (0.3ha). The defences comprise a single earthen rampart which on the N is up to 5m in thickness and stands 3m above the bottom of an external ditch about 5m in breadth and 0.6m in external depth.
