What may be a fortified enclosure is revealed by parchmarks on a low hillock on the W side of the road leading past Kirkton, about 100m W of Atlas No. 2628. Roughly triangular on plan, it measures about 60m from NE to SW along the NW side by 45m transversely (0.15ha) within two narrow ditches set about 5m apart; the inner ditch is no more than 2m wide, and the outer appears narrower still. The position of the entrance is unknown.
