Cropmarks have revealed traces of a large enclosure situated on the crest of a spur above a slope dropping down into a tributary of the Greypeel Burn. Roughly oval on plan, it measures at least 115m, and possibly as much as 205m, from NNE to SSW by 85m transversely (0.8ha) within a ditch which is best defined on the S, where it is apparently in the order of 8m in breadth. The perimeter elsewhere does not seem to be so broad, and in this sector is possibly conflated with other features dropping down the slope. The interior is featureless and no entrances are visible.
