Commanding, roughly circular, rocky contour hillfort located on a small summit formed by a boss of rock, high in hills above the Afon Wnion to E and S and valley of Afon Las to NW, both tributaries of Afon Mawddach to SW. Very exposed site. Very steep to precipitous surrounding slopes from NE to NW, less on N. Measures c. 38m in diameter - internal area approx 0.08ha. On NE the sheer slope gives adequate defence and on the other quarters there is a now denuded and tumbled surrounding stone wall 0.9m-1.2m at its base. No ditch. Entrance difficult to trace, but possibly on SE. Rough moorland and grass and much bare rock. Much damaged and in very poor condition. On 1st Ed. OS map (1888-89). Minimal investigations, undated.
