Inland promontory fort set against an eastward promontory scarp which overlooks the steep-sided valley of the Afon Rhydafallen, S of Maenclochog village. Discovered by RCAHMW through aerial reconnaissance in July 2012 (RCAHMW 2013). A D-shaped enclosure with curved bivallate ramparts to the W now ploughed away and showing as soil marks, curve in to the S to form a straight S side. N side obscured by modern hedge line which may fossilise the line of the ramparts. No evidence of entrance. Darker areas of soil along the W, particularly within the enclosure, possibly showing settlement and/or industrial activity. Minimal investigations, undated.
